Training times

Tuesday evening 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm; Kilcornan Saturday morning 11.00 am to 12.30 pm

The squad

Our registered players are 40 boys from all the neighbouring villages and rural communities including Ardrahan, Ballinderreen, Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Killeeneen and Roevehagh

Ethos

We aim to train the boys to play good football, to be competitive, to be sportsmen and good team mates, to feel confident about themselves and to be fit for life. Above all our aim is that every one of them has an enjoyable and fulfilling experience in sport.

Matches

In the 2014-15 season the boys are involved in a series of one-day pool events organised by the Galway Football Association (GFA), the Kevin Power Cup―a GFA tournament series, and a home-and-away friendly series we have arranged with a dozen other clubs in the city and county.

Teams

There are no sideline johnnies in the Colga boys U11 squad.  In all our fixtures we aim to field three teams, the Astros, Dynamos and Metros, so that everyone gets to  play, every time.

Season dates

Our official season of training and fixtures extends to the end of May but there will be weekly football (Tuesday or Thursday, to be confirmed) throughout the summer for any boys who want to keep playing and are not committed to other field sports
